Tennis in the United States is played on three kinds of places: public park courts run by a city or county, member clubs and country clubs with their own pros and leagues, and commercial tennis centers that sell court time by the hour. Public courts are usually free and first come, first served, with a posted limit (often 60-90 minutes when others are waiting); busier cities run online reservation systems with a small fee and a permit for the season. Indoor courts are rented by the hour and booked days ahead in winter. Most facilities are hard courts; clay is common in the Southeast and at private clubs, and grass is rare. Lights extend play into the evening at many parks, sometimes with a coin or app-operated switch.

Harrisburg is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in Harrisburg peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. We pulled up to the Hotel and itβs in a downtown environment. We pulled into the parking garage where the parking is valet parking exclusively. The staff were clearly all high and reaked of weed! Definitely not a great first impression but this is the tip of the iceberg for this visit! Our group had 3 rooms side by side. Each room had issues. The phones in each room did not work. The AC didnβt work properly in 2 of the 3 rooms. The drawers of the furniture in one room would not push in. The rooms are tiny and with 2 adults in the room you had to plan to go from one side of the room to the other. The daily refresh only happened in one room of the three and they forgot to replace the towels in the one room they did attempt to spruce up. When the issues were brought up during the visit and again at checkout it was clear that they didnβt seem to care less. This was my first experience at a Crowne Plaza facility and I donβt think there will likely be another! The management and support staff seem very disconnected from providing a world class experience to the customers that choose to use their facility. I certainly would not recommend this location and I would question the entire ch

This place is literally the pitts. The whole place is dated and needs toppling and starting again. Rooms dingy and would have been ok in the 70's but not in the 21st century. So, owner/ manager couldn't be bothered greeting us when we arrived even though my husband is a diamond elite member. No welcome, no thanks for his loyalty, NOTHING. Couldn't even be bothered to tell us about breakfast either. Owners/managers ignorant, unfriendly and unhelpful. Stayed for 3 nights. First morning, no buffet breakfast. One staff member on her own to deal with those of us who had stupidly booked this hotel. Food not great, cold coffee, ordered toast, didn't arrive. Not servers fault, she was given too much to do on her own. Second morning buffet but 60 kids in breakfast room. All their bags and stuff all over the floor of the restaurant so obstacle course just to get our breakfast. Why did the owners think this was a good idea. Where there no rooms in the hotel to house all their stuff instead of having this tripping hazard on the floor? Ever felt like your being treated like a 2nd class person, even though you are a paying customer the same as anyone else. Owner couldn't have thanked the large p

I was staying at the hotel with five other families so this is a compilation of experiences. All pictures are mine. 1) rooms are Antiquated and poorly laid out, equipment and furniture that doesn't make sense in the room, somehow they did not plan for where toilet paper has to go so in some rooms it was under the wet towel rack in other rooms it was extending into the area above the toilet seats so that every time you were sitting there it was either jabbing you in the ribs or you were banging your elbow on it. This was to make room for a 5 1/2 long fixture to hold the smallest sink you've ever seen. You need a 3-foot cabinet to ensure you have appropriate room for a toilet this is just silly. 2) room equipment - two rooms do not have air conditioning , only blowing hot air, air conditioners were ill kept and Extremely loud, picture jet engines turning on and off throughout the night. One room next to the college neon sign did not have blackout curtains for some reason, picture Kenny Rogers Roasters sign blazing your eyeballs all night. Coffee maker did not work in one in five rooms was nonexistent in one in five rooms. 3) amenities setup - booked room for two adults and two childr

To be honest, my experience differed a lot from many of the comments I had read before arriving. My stay at Crowne Plaza Harrisburg-Hershey was very pleasant. I would especially like to praise AnneSimon at the reception desk, who was always attentive and made sure I was comfortable throughout my stay. Her kindness and professionalism truly made a difference. The room was clean and well maintained, and the breakfast was good and tasty with fresh options available. Overall, it was a very positive experience with excellent customer service.
